i was blog surfing...

and i came across this on michelles blog...i was so impressed by it that i decided to post it on mine as well

Did God create Evil? This will make you think for a while. At a certain
college, there was a professor with a reputation for being tough on
Christians. At the first class every semester, he asked if anyone was a
Christian and proceeded to degrade them and to mock their statement of
faith.

One semester, he asked the question and a young man raised his hand when
asked if anyone was a Christian. The professor asked, "Did God make
everything, young man?"

He replied, "Yes sir He did!"

The professor responded, "If God made everything, then He made evil."

The student didn't have a response and the professor was happy to have
once again proved the Christian faith to be a myth.

Then another man raised his hand and asked, "May I ask you something,
sir?"

"Yes, you may," responded the professor.

The young man stood up and said "Sir, is there such thing as cold?"

"Of course there is, what kind of question is that? Haven't you ever been
cold?"

The young man replied, "Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. What we
consider to be cold, is really an absence of heat. Absolute zero is when
there is absolutely no heat, but cold does not really exist. We have only
created that term to describe how we feel when heat is not there."

The young man continued, "Sir, is there such a thing as dark?"

Once again, the professor responded "Of course there is."

And once again, the student replied "Actually, sir, darkness does not
exist. Darkness is really only the absence of light. Darkness is only a
term man developed to describe what happens when there is no light
present."

Finally, the young man asked, "Sir, is there such thing as evil?"

The professor responded, "Of course. We have rapes, and murders and
violence everywhere in the world, those things are evil."

The student replied, "Actually, sir, evil does not exist. Evil is simply
the absence of God. Evil is a term man developed to describe the absence of
God. God did not create evil. It isn't like truth, or love, which exist as
virtues like heat or light. Evil is simply the state where God is not
present, like cold without heat or darkness without light."

The professor had nothing to say............*

and you keep pushing yourself to your limits...

today...i just felt out of it...my body has worn down all the way...im looking foward going home and eating some chinese food tomorrow night with my family... itll be nice to see them again. noone else wants to go back down with me, so thats ok...i only get to stay for a day anways...but itll be good to be with my family...im exhausted...i ran 3 miles on mon/wed and ive played bball everyday this week...i dont think i can take this...im tired...i dont have energy...

- we played ball with andy wong today...hah hes still got the legs

Hook'em horns!

well, my day started off with 30 minutes of lex's alarm going on and off...but we eventually got up and got ready for church...liquid has a very interesting style of worship, everyone is standing and its more like a concert style worship, but it was good.

Pastor Gid talked about John the Baptist today. he talked about having a vision, one mindset, having a vision for his life and that gives meaning to his life...i think thats probably what im lacking right now...i need vision, i cant see what God has in store for me...i want to know, maybe im not ready....

after going to ACC, we went to Di Ho or something like that...it was Chinese BBQ, and i dont care if its not authentic homecooked chinese food, it was CHINESE food and it was GOOD. my mom is still a better cook and if you disagree, please feel free to go visit my house anytime.

after eating, me and lex come back to our rooms and we bum around til around 540, then andrew lee comes to pick us up and we watch the UT vs NMSU game. and of course...UT ownz0red so bad, the score was 66-7. Vince Young is AWESOME! Chance Mock was pretty good, but i had no idea UT football was THAT good, haha, this is going to be exciting, it was a good thing we didnt go to the game because of two reasons, 1. we owned them so badly 2. it was RAINING LIKE A MUG here in austin.

well after that, we stayed at andrews place and played until around 330 in the morning, and im here right now...blogging...heh oh well gnite
