who knew? its time to start something big....

last night me and lex went to the first cbs meeting. talk about alot of chinese ppl....it was almost like fellowship, except two and a half times bigger... but yakno....cant really compare the two. so first...was the "mingle-getting-to-know-new-ppl-and-the-oh-i-havent-seen-you-all-summer loiter time" we actually saw ben miu there...haha anyways we met alot of new ppl. annie kept trying to introduce me to her new friends. i mean i have nothing against meeting new ppl, its just her approach was, "wanna meet girls?" so yea...everyone pretty much knows what us freshman guys stance on girls is... but its ok, i eventually got to meet them, hopefully i remembered their names. so we go into this big room in the welch building, and the worship team is ben (forgot his last name, but his little sister is lina) and sarah lau, i didnt know the other two...but the worship was so awesome. it was a really humbling experience. being a worship leader myself, (or ex-worship leader...) ive learned to really enjoy other people leading worship because it gives me time to reflect on myself and praise God for His beauty.

the speaker for the night was some lady...forgot her name...but she was an EE graduate from Rice University. she talked about how Jesus invited his disciples on an adnventure....an adventure that would lead to something big, even though the disciples didnt know what was ahead of them, they knew that Jesus had something huge in store for them...i guess the same goes for me, i dont know what path i am supposed to take, but i know that God has something big in plan for me. i just hope that i can become the man that He needs me to be so i can be used by Him.

and the highlight of my night...was seeing cynthia lay in austin! i mean me and lex knew she was coming, but it was good to see her again, esp in austin! b/c i know she loves it so much in austin. plus, shes always looking out for me and lex.

after cbs, we had an hour loiter period again...the only thing different from fellowship was that they already knew everyone was going to fudds so they didnt really have to ask if they were going. well we go to fudds and get free drinks, me and lex order a fudge brownie, but we couldnt finish so we gave it to annie to finish off for us. then we came back and gamed til 4am and went to sleep

oh i forgot to mention, we went to chipotle for dinner with bth, timmy, dennis, michael j, annie, and i met buncha new ppl, well new to me...nick and mark chu (cool last name), sam mar, andrea(?)...actually i already met all of them before, but i actually got to hang out with them...nick chu is really hilarious i actually met him last year while lex and i were bumming in bth and timmys room. mark, his little brother, i met during the summer when he came up for orientation...and sam mar... ionno...hes kinda *cough*gay*cough* i mean like...he does really weird weird stuff....like touching mark alot...like ALOT, and he scratches himself alot (kinda like john) but he says its because of some bar wax he uses in his hair...(???) heh all in all timmy and brian have really cool friends! i think this year is gonna be a blast

gimme something interesting.....

i find that college isnt really that interesting...sure the classes are harder...more ppl...but after being here all summer.... its just not that great... i mean yea, hanging out with the JPGs everyday is really fun, no parents, etc etc.... but i dont think im really enjoying myself right now...well Desiring God is a very interesting book, i find it difficult to read also because whenever i open it, im exhausted and ready to die on my pillow. it makes many interesting points and i think im going to have to go back and reread cuz i didnt understand some of the stuff it talks about...

all in all, God is good

ninja turtle arms with the ha-ha's and the sh-sh's

yesterday after our prayer meeting, me and lex headed over to greg to shoot some hoops, we saw timmy chui and nick liao(i think thats his last name) standing at the stairs of greg so we decided to go shoot some hoops with them. (nick's sn is wahhpah or something like that, thats the only reason i recognized his name.) anyway, we play 2 on 3, lex and timmy vs me nick and annie, we lost cuz lex kept picking on annie hehe, well timmy and nick had to go read and do hw so lex and i decided to go look for peter and phil, they were supposed to be lifting, so we went downstairs and we found them, and lex and i start lifting also...but...lets just say that lex hasnt been working out very often....i was suprised cuz i could actually lift more than lex, last year during the summer he would always be able to do more than i could...

anyways, i went to the co-op yesterday and they told me that they didnt have my books unless i got 2 emails from them...i didnt know, but i already got my second one, so i went to co-op and they didnt give me my books...and i have hw due today...and so i need to go get my books now...i hate co-op already

the email, the email, what what, the email....

ok so this post has nothing to do with email...but anyways

first day of school eh? uhhm...well i woke up around 8:30am and i did my best to not wake up lex, living with david all summer helped cuz i didnt wake him up...anyways i head to my japanese class...japanese is cool!! hehe but its going to be lotsa work so i think im going to be owned....but thats ok, afterwards i come back to jester and go back to sleep until my next class...afterwards i go to my last two classes...

actually my first day was really boring, around 5, xiao and i went to go running up in greg and we got to watch tj ford scrimmage with the UT basketball team. hes really good. andd.....the rest of my day was boring...

me and the guys have started a prayer meeting everynight at 10pm at my place, everyone is invited, and if you have any prayer requests, please tell them to one of us so we can pray for you!

the start of college....stinka

i havent showered in 4 days....well now its 4 days considering that its actually monday now...anyways i feel really nasty and i need to go shower....so yea....public bathrooms are scary tho....im scared...hahah whatever im going now, its ok tho...xiao calls it the "antigirl repellent" i guess it works...hahah oh well, so the year with lex begins.....

btw, you should call our dorm room sometime and check our answering machine...hahah well its just lex...we'll change it once we think of something good
